ANALYSIS: Jay Ajayi was a somewhat highly touted running back in this years draft especially since he was the backup to the always injured running back, Arian Foster. Since Foster's groin injury occurred, Ajayi has not really stepped up in the way that we would think he would. Some of that is due to the fact that the Miami Dolphins were going with an extreme four running back by committee system. Since that didn't work well, in Week 5 head coach Adam Gase decided to let Ajayi take the lead and he tallied 13 of the teams 17 rushes for 42 yards and one touchdown. It's worth noting the Dolphins looked terrible on offense and only gathered 200 yards total for the game.
Foster may be coming back to the team in the next couple of weeks. With his return Ajayi will be rendered useless. Fantasy football owners should only pick him up if you are in desperate need to start somebody.
