FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/17/16): MLB DFS Advice

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/17/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies are going to be a great stack all series against the San Diego Padres. Edwin Jackson is on the mound tonight, and the Rockies are hitting in Coors Field. Use them in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox are obviously one of the best hitting teams in the league, and the New York Yankees are going to find out, if they did not already know, tonight with Bryan Mitchell on the mound. The Red Sox can be used in all formats, especially someone like Travis Shaw who is entirely too cheap.

Washington Nationals

The Washington Nationals get a great matchup tonight against the Atlanta Braves and Josh Collmenter. Collementer currently has a 4.84 ERA, but he does not start. He pitches out of the bullpen. The Braves are going to need help from their bullpen early in the game, which will lead to more Nationals' runs.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Yu Darvish ($10,800)

Yu Darvish gets a great matchup tonight against the Oakland Athletics and Raul Alcantara. The Texas Rangers should easily win this game, and Darvish has been pitching great all season. He has an ERA of 3.28 with a 5-4 record and 103 strikeouts in 82.1 innings pitched. His high K-rate and low ERA makes him usable in all formats.

Francisco Liriano ($7,400)

Francisco Liriano gets a great matchup tonight, and he can be used in tournaments due to his low price tag. He has struggled this season, but he's pitching better now with the Toronto Blue Jays. There are never any promises with the ex-Pirates' ace, but his upside is there.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C) - Yasmani Grandal ($2,700)

Yasmani Grandal is entirely too cheap. He gets a good matchup tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks in a very hitter-friendly ballpark. With how low his price tag is, use him in all formats.

First Base (1B) - Kendrys Morales ($3,200)

Kendrys Morales is too cheap right now, as well. He gets a tougher matchup, but he should still be able to at least hit value. Use him as a salary relief play, especially in tournaments.

Second Base (2B) - Ryan Schimpf ($3,700)

Ryan Schimpf is a powerful second baseman, and he is hitting in Coors Field tonight. Jon Gray may be on the mound, but in such a hitter-friendly environment, it is not going to matter. If Schimpf gets ahold of one pitch, he will crush value.

Shortstop (SS) - Tyler Saladino ($3,000)

Tyler Saladino has been hitting right around .300 in his last 10 games, and he gets a good matchup tonight against Jason Vargas and the Kansas City Royals. His year-long batting average is up to .281, so trusting him in 50/50 contests is recommended.

Third Base (3B) - Travis Shaw ($2,700)

Travis Shaw's price tag tonight is a joke. He has been great all season long, and hitting in the middle of the Boston Red Sox lineup increases his upside. He will almost definitely hitting value. Use him in all formats.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Chris Young (vs NYY, $3,200)

Chris Young is hitting over .300 in his last 10 games, and with Mitchell on the mound for the Yankees, the Boston Red Sox are set to score a lot of runs. Young hits better in Boston, as well. Use him in all formats, which will be easy to accomplish thanks to his low price tag.

Hunter Pence ($3,000)

Hunter Pence, like Travis Shaw, has a ridiculous price tag on FanDuel. He is hitting over .400 in his last 10 games, and his power is starting to shine through his consistency. He is going to hit value. Do not hesitate here.
