Top Two-Start Pitcher Streamers For Week 19

A wise fantasy baseball manager never rests. He is never satisfied with his team and is always on the hunt for the player that can help in both the present and future. For this article, we’ll focus on the present, as we present the top pitcher streamers who’ll be making two outings this week.

We do this every week, because deep down we all know those last two or three guys taken in drafts won’t be with us the whole way through. Mix and match is the name of the game and maximizing these players’ values is the goal. Here are the top five two-start pitching streamers for week 19. NOTE: these are expected starts.

Editor's Note: RotoBaller has the best Premium MLB Subscription for only $1.99 per week. We have all the tools to help win your seasonal and daily leagues: Hitter & Pitcher Streamers, Matchup Ratings for every player, Sleeper Surgers for AVG, HR, Ks, PLUS Daily DFS Cheat Sheets, Lineup Picks, Expert Lineups, Stacks and Avoids.

Going Twice, Roll The Dice

Zach Davies, MIL

vs ATL 8/8, vs CIN 8/13

Owned In: 44% of Fleaflicker Leagues

Young Zach Davies is making his debut on our two-start streamers of the week series as we hit our 19th week. The 23-year-old has been a member of the Milwaukee Brewers rotation since late April and has been on a steady upward trend ever since. Last month he recorded four quality starts, going 3-0 with a 1.71 ERA. Davies isn’t an imposing strikeout pitcher, but he also keeps his walks in check and strands plenty of runners on base.

This week presents an incredible chance for the right-hander to further improve on his season as he readies for a pair of home starts against two of the worst teams in the sport. His first start of the week will be against the Atlanta Braves, owners of the worst record in all of baseball. While Atlanta made a move for Matt Kemp, the team continues to pose a minuscule threat and should be handled with relative ease.

His second start will once again be at Miller Park, this time against the Cincinnati Reds. While the Reds are better than the Braves, they own the worst road record in the league. With Zach Davies having thrown seven shutout innings against Cincinnati his last time out against them, expect the youngster to be comfortable and effective this week.

Kendall Graveman, OAK

vs BAL 8/8, vs SEA 8/13

Owned In: 10% of Fleaflicker Leagues

At first glance, 25-year-old Kendall Graveman doesn’t appear to be an attractive choice for a two-start streamer. A closer look at his recent results, however, tells a different story. Although he was hammered on Wednesday night by the Angels in Anaheim, Graveman is coming off the best month of his season. Going 4-1 in July, he recorded a quality start every time out en route to a 2.68 ERA. Although a rare occurrence, Graveman has demonstrated the ability to work around outings in which his control is not at its best. While his record it at .500 both on the road and at home, he’s a much better pitcher at the Coliseum. This bodes well for those exploring their streamer options, as both of Graveman’s starts this upcoming week are at home.

The first start will come against the Orioles, who currently lead the AL East. While they’ve emerged as one of the best teams in the American League, Baltimore actually has the worst road record of all division leaders in baseball, currently multiple games under .500. This combined with Graveman’s strong, 2.92 home ERA calls for positive results.

His second start of the week, against the Mariners, will pose a less serious threat. Graveman has already faced the Mariners this season, giving up just two runs but failing it make it through five innings. One of his strengths is the ground ball, keeping offenses low and preventing deep flies. The Mariners currently rank fourth in the American League in ground balls hit. If Graveman can use this to his advantage once again, he’ll have two solid chances at victory.

Hector Santiago, MIN

vs HOU 8/9, vs KC 8/14

Owned In: 41% of Fleaflicker Leagues

The last time we saw Hector Santiago, he was a member of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Now, however, he plays for the Minnesota Twins after a deadline trade. The 28-year-old has made one start for Minnesota, surrendering four runs in five innings against the Indians in a loss. This upcoming week, he’ll make his first two home starts for the Twins against familiar opposition.

His first opponent will be Houston, a team he’s already pitched against. Back in June, Santiago tossed six innings and a third against the Astros, giving up just one run on three hits. The Astros have recently hit a skid, and despite their climb towards the top of the AL West, they remain a weak road team. Look for Santiago to replicate his earlier performance.

The second start of his week will come against the Kansas City Royals. Like the Astros, Kansas City has been on a downward trend recently and is a poor road team. With Santiago having beaten them on the road just weeks ago, the six-year veteran walks into both of his starts this week with familiarity and good chances at victory.

Luis Severino, NYY

@ BOS 8/9, vs TB 8/14

Owned In: 20% of Fleaflicker Leagues

22-year-old Luis Severino entered the 2016 campaign as one of the most exciting players on the Yankees’ roster. His season quickly unraveled, however, as he lost six of his first seven starts, posting a 7.46 ERA and going on the disabled list with injury. Once healthy, he stayed in the minors, making 11 starts and going 7-1 with a 3.11 ERA. Once the Yankees decided to prepare for the future, he was recalled and sent to the bullpen. Now, he’s back in the rotation after a strong relief appearance this past Wednesday. Severino tossed four innings and one-third against the Mets, surrendering just one run on one hit while striking out five. The young Dominican hurler went 5-3 with a 2.39 ERA last year, but has really looked much better since returning this season. His fastball has topped 100 MPH several times, and his slider has improved vastly.

This week, he’ll be thrown to the wolves as he makes his first start since May against the Red Sox at Fenway. Severino made his major league debut against the Red Sox, giving up two runs across five innings against them. Additionally, his brief career has shown him to be a better road pitcher than home. While the Red Sox are one of the American League’s best teams, they’ve struggled recently, having recently lost a series against the Tigers and split others against the Angels and Mariners. This new version of Luis Severino should have the confidence to have a solid performance in Boston.

His second start will be against the Tampa Bay Rays, who are currently in the bottom of the AL East. Severino has already looked strong against the Rays in a two inning appearance last weekend. If this new version of Severino is to be believed, this will be a telling week.

Fantasy Football Dynasty Rookie Draft: Superflex, 12-Team (2025)

Don't we all love mock drafts? I sure do. The monotony of them can get... monotonous after a while when the vast majority of them just have short, shallow write-ups of each player without giving an emphatic, helpful take on each. I hope to do the opposite. Considering how far consensus can be (and usually […]

Early 2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team, Single QB

There's never any reason not to do more fantasy football mock drafts and break down the efficacy of every pick. Or so the saying goes. Sun-Tzu probably said that in The Art of War. I haven't read the whole thing, so I'm not sure. Either way, it's never not interesting to speculate on what the […]

Top 10 Fantasy Football Busts Of All Time - Le'Veon Bell, Peyton Hillis, LeSean McCoy, and more

Fantasy football managers have the fear of picking busts fresh in their minds every season because every year, players who are thought to be headed for productive seasons, whether due to injury, not reaching overly high expectations, or other reasons, bust hard. Those who drafted San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey are well aware […]

Every AFC Team's Most Overvalued Dynasty Fantasy Football Player

The 16 teams that comprise the AFC all have players that I don't think are worth, on their own, what you could get for them in trades as compensation. Not all of them are bad players, though. In fact, some of them are quite good. "Most overvalued" is a relative thing. And since there's not […]
