BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 39% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you forget that April or May happened, Derek Norris is one of the top fantasy options at the catcher position in all of baseball. In 15 games during the current month, Norris is hitting .309 with three HR and 10 RBI. While he still strikes out way too much and has shown far worse plate discipline this year (4.67 K/BB ratio), Norris is at least starting to make more contact. His .248 BABIP is still 50 points below his career mark which suggests a continued climb in his batting average is very possible. He is also now on pace to surpass last year's power numbers of 14 HR and 62 RBI. Given the dearth of reliable catchers to choose from, Norris should start to see his ownership levels climb quickly. Don't be afraid to add him as a replacement for any of the numerous disappointing catchers like Francisco Cervelli or Yasmani Grandal.
