BALLER MOVE: Add in all leagues
OWNED IN: 61% of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: David Peralta was supposed to combine with A.J. Pollock to give the Diamondbacks one of the most dynamic outfields in the league. So much for plans. While Pollock's season is in question, Peralta missed almost an entire month and just recently returned on June 6th. Peralta has not yet caught fire, hitting .257/.309/.450 with four HR and 15 RBI in 140 AB. Given time, owners should be confident that he can replicate last year's .312/.371/.522 line with 17 HR and 78 RBI. Peralta's plate discipline has been worse this year to a 4.38 K/BB ratio, compared to last year's 2.43. If we can blame his injury and subsequent recovery for some of those issues, Peralta may start to turn things around soon. He is not a pure power hitter, but he is good at collecting extra bases. His 10 triples led the league last season and he is already second this season with four triples. His ability to hit for doubles, triples, and home runs may be an extra benefit to points league owners. His major league experience is too limited to make too many projections, but Peralta is talented enough to bet on and shouldn't be forgotten about in mixed leagues due to his slow start.
