ANALYSIS: Justin Bour has shown many encouraging signs this year in improvement from his already impressive figures last season. For instance, Bour has lowered his strikeout percentage to 20.1% and has raised his walk percentage to 10.1%. Although his BA has fallen to .255, he has a BABIP of just .265 on 26% line drives. Bour has improved his isolated power figure to .241 which explains how he has hit nine HR and improved his slugging percentage to .496. Bour is currently most effective against RHP and when playing at home in Miami, as he is currently slugging .532 against righties and is slugging .541 when playing at home. Bour may have started off a little slow with just three HR and a .465 SLG in April, but he has heated up in a big way in May with six HR and a SLG of .529. Every single figure that Bour has produced indicates that Bour's power is legitimate and sustainable, and in fact improving. Don't let his HR go unused in deep leagues.
