TARGET: ~160
CURRENT ADP: 225 (22nd round in 10-team leagues)
ANALYSIS: Let's start by saying there's no way Josh Harrison's current ADP sticks around the 22nd round. I'd assume most of these rankings were completed before Neil Walker was shipped to New York (N), opening the door for playing time for Harrison. As of this moment, Harrison is in line to begin the season as the starting second basemen and bat 2nd in the Pirates lineup.
Need a refresher on the last time Harrison saw a full-time playing opportunity? It was 2014, when he batted .315 with a 13/18 HR/SB combo over 550 plate appearances. He was an integral piece in the Pirates run to the NL Wild-Card and is in line to be major factor once again.
The biggest setback to Harrison's 2015 was a left thumb injury that forced him to miss time in July and August. Before that point he was hitting .279 with four home runs and nine stolen bases, well in line for another 10/15 campaign. These aren't sexy numbers, but there's not a significant investment involved with rostering Harrison. Again, he's going in the 22nd round of mock drafts. That's bananas.
Throw in Harrison's multi-position eligibility (2B, 3B, OF) and we have a valuable fantasy baseball piece. The Pirates should once again be competitors in the top-heavy NL Central, and Harrison will find himself surrounded by Gregory Polanco, Andrew McCutchen, Starling Marte, and Jung Ho Kang. He should have numerous run-scoring opportunities and will finish in the top 10 for second basemen in 2016. Mark my words.
