With the exception of what may transpire in Oklahoma City, every game figures to be relatively close, theoretically leading to much more minutes for the starters. That’s how the theory goes. Most of the teams on slate also played on Monday night, so there’s that too. Have fun on this six-game schedule!
In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 12/29/15. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

DraftKings DFS Point Guards
Reggie Jackson (at NY, $7,300)
With the short slate, I’m a little worried about Russell Westbrook’s upside so I might go his direction in 50/50s and cash games. But for tourneys or two point guard sites, I’m looking at Jackson all day. He has seen a dip in his price tag because he has shot so poorly from the field over the last week or so, but that is all scheduled to change. At least I am crossing my fingers that it’s scheduled to change. Jackson has not delivered four straight sub-35 DraftKings point games all season. He is due for a bounce back.
Matthew Dellavedova (at DEN, $4,800)
This was a real toss up between Delly and Jameer Nelson, but in the end, it makes sense to go with the Aussie. Neither of these guys is an any danger of losing a lot of minutes to the guy behind them- keep in mind that Kyrie Irving will most likely not play- so projecting minutes shouldn’t be the challenge. It’s just that the Nuggets have been absurdly awful at limiting DraftKings points to opposing point guards, while the Cavs have been stingy defending the one. Go with the numbers.
DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards
Will Barton (vs CLE, $6,900)
As his price continues to climb every so slightly, Barton will eventually become un-ownable due to the high price. But not today. Today he remains a bargain. He is the best player on Denver and is priced like a lower mid-tier player. There’s no reason not to roster this guy is most formats.
Arron Afflalo (vs DET, $4,800)
Despite ranking seventh in shooting defense, the Pistons have been rather sub-par in limiting DKFP to opposing two guards, mainly due to giving up so many rebounds to guards. Afflalo isn’t a guy that can really eat glass up, but he is averaging nearly four boards per game on the year. Expect a little spike in rebounding against the Pistons. Every little point help on short slates.
DraftKings DFS Small Forwards
LeBron James (at DEN, $9,600)
KD has a better much, but LeBron will get more minutes in what should be a closer play. Did somebody say, chalk?
Jeff Green (vs MIA, $5,400)
Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly), Matt Barnes has been suspended in a weird off-court story, so Green will have carte blanche at the swing. All season Green has been a guy that has been rather underpriced, as he has consistently returned 4x or more value game in and game out. Earlier this year against Miami, Green went off for 26 points, two boards, three assists and a block. We’ll take some of that production again at his price.
DraftKings DFS Power Forwards
Kevin Love (at DEN, $7,600)
I’m kind of trying to figure out why- why is his price so low? Love is the second most expensive power forward on tap for Tuesday night, yet he will most likely be the top producer at the spot for the evening. Kenneth Faried is a plus interior defender, but he is going to have all sorts of trouble attempting to slow down Love’s three point and outside shots. And do not put any stock into the minor injury Love sustained in their last contest with the Suns. He’ll be ready to rock and roll.
Serge Ibaka (vs MIL, $6,600)
Beware the blowout potential. As long as this game can stay close through some of the fourth quarter, and there’s a strong possibility it does not, then Ibaka should produce while he is seeing playing time. The Bucks are ranked 29th in the league in allowing points to opposing power forwards, so you better believe Ibaka is going to get his.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Andre Drummond (at NY, $9,400)
Is it possible that one man can out-rebound an entire team? The Knicks are giving up 53.3 total rebounds to opponents, ranking them 22nd in the league and making them a prime suspect to give up a 20 rebound game to Mr. Drummond. The lower priced options at the other positions allows ample salary space to roster the heavy-hitting Drummond for Tuesday’s options.
