NBA Centers: Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups and Sleepers

The center position has been surprisingly healthy this year. This is good for basketball but leaves little opportunity for potential waiver wire stars. Every week Ian Mahinmi and Jordan Hill are on the must pick up big men list. They continue to put up stellar numbers night in and night out for a good Indiana team. Players like Roy Hibbert continue to be head scratchers as to why so many people own them. These players have been either overvalued or undervalued all season long. Below you will find new must add big men for this weeks waiver wire.

Be sure to check out RotoBaller's other Week 10 NBA coverage, including our Week 10 Waiver Wire Guards and Week 10 Waiver Wire Forwards.

NBA Centers: Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups & Sleepers

Bismack Biyombo (TOR, C) - 30% Owned

Biyombo has been playing out of his mind the last two weeks. During that time he's averaging an absurd 14.5 rebounds along with 2.5 blocks per game. The main reason for the outburst in stats is Jonas Valanciunas' broken hand. During Valanciunas' 17 game absence Biyombo has gotten a major bump in playing time. While Bismack is non-existent on offense, he has finally shown for an extended period how he can be a valuable part of a team instead of an end of the rotation player. Valanciunas returned on Monday making Biyombo a little less valuable in the short term. But now that his new team have seen his potential, there is a good chance he sees a lot more playing time going forward.

Frank Kaminsky (CHA, PF/C) - 28% Owned

Earlier in the season I suggested people should get rid of their Frank Kaminsky stock. Well now it's time to buy all of that stock back. Kaminsky has started becoming a consistent part of Charlotte's rotation as a bench contributor. Over the last two weeks he's averaging 10 points, 5 rebounds, 1.2 threes, and 1.5 blocks per game. Kaminsky has both an inside and outside game that suit the NBA. As he figures out how to balance these two his production will only increase. The only thing holding back Frank the Tank is his play on the defensive side of the ball. His minutes will remain limited until he gets better on that side of the ball and that might take years. Until then his production over the last two weeks on just 24 minutes a game are worth picking Kaminsky back up.

Taj Gibson (CHI, PF/C) - 39% Owned

Joakim Noah is out with an injury so Taj Gibson is the next man up. Over the last week he averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds along with a block per game. Noah will be out another two to four weeks so expect Gibson to be able to sustain these numbers. Nikola Mirotic has played his way out of the rotation in Chicago which means even more opportunity for Gibson. Also, this may be Taj's league wide interview or cry for "please trade for me!" over the next few weeks. He is a must add for at least the next two weeks.
