*Number in parenthesis indicates position on chart last week.
1. Derrick Henry(1) RB Alabama 339-1,986-23 TD 5.9 YPC
Henry should be the first non quarterback to win the award since 2009 when it was won by...Alabama running back Mark Ingram.
2. Deshaun Watson(4) QB Clemson 287-413-3,512 69.5% 30 TD 11 INT 163-989-11 TD 6.1 YPC
Watson was our preseason pick for the Heisman. After a strong second half it looks like he will come up just short.
3. Christian McCaffrey(5) RB Stanford 319-1,847-8 TD 5.8 YPC 51-540-4 36 Kickoff returns 1,042 yards 28.9 AVG 1 TD.
Now holds NCAA single season All Purpose yards from scrimmage record. Worthy of being invited to New York.
4. Ezekiel Elliot(2) RB Ohio State 262-1,672-19 TD 6.4 YPC 26-176-0 TD
He may finish behind Derrick Henry on the Heisman ballot, but he will likely be selected ahead of him in the Draft if both go pro as expected.
5. Leonard Fournette(3) RB LSU 271-1,741-18 TD 6.4 YPC 18-209-0
At one time it looked like Fournette was running away with the award.
6. Dalvin Cook(6) RB Florida State 211-1,658-18 TD 7.9 YPC 22-218-1
Will be one of the favorites for the award next season.
7. Baker Mayfield(NR) QB Oklahoma 243-354-3,389 68.6% 35 TD 5 INT 231-420-7 TD.
Mayfield may have been the most valuable player outside of Henry coming down the stretch in leading the Sooners to the playoffs.
8. Keenan Robinson(7) QB Navy 46-84-964 54.8% 6 TD 1 INT 220-1,093-19 TD 5.0 YPC.
Robinson still has the annual game against Army to go as he pads his record setting career numbers.
9. Paxton Lynch(9) QB Memphis 280-406-3,670 69.0% 28 TD 3 INT
Will likely battle Connor Cook as the top quarterback selected in the draft if he declares.
10. Brandon Doughty(10) QB Western Kentucky 356-496-4,594 71.8% 45 TD 7 INT
Doughty looks to be one of the sleeper picks at quarterback in the 2016 Draft...a player we have been telling our readers about for three years.
Honorable Mentions:Tyler Matakevich, LB, Temple; Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M; Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor; Matt Johnson, QB, Bowling Green; Marquise Williams, QB, North Carolina; Trevone Boykin, QB, TCU and Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State.
