NHL DFS Picks for for Friday, November 20th
Friday night in the NHL is relatively quiet with only six games but there is still enough value to get some of the top players in your lineups. The Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets are playing on back to back nights and the Blue Jackets are playing a third game in four nights. There is not a lot of attractive goaltender options so building multiple lineups around your favorite option might be a nice strategy on Friday night. Lets take a look at a few core plays for the night.
Pekka Rinne - Goaltender, Predators (DraftKings - $8,200 FanDuel - $9,300)
He is the chalk option on Friday if he is confirmed starting and should be the highest owned option. For that reason I like him more in cash games than tournaments. He has been great to start the season going 10-2-3 with a .921 save percentage.
Eric Staal - Center, Hurricanes (DraftKings - $5,500 FanDuel - $7,900)
Much better value over at DraftKings and is in a nice matchup at home vs. the Leafs who 19th in goals allowed per game. Get over 3:00 on the PP and he averages 13.5 shots attempts per 60 minutes of ice time. Should be a low owned option and makes a nice GPP play.
Patrick Kane - Winger, Blackhawks (DraftKings - $8,600 FanDuel - $8,400)
Is an elite play with a salary under $9,000 on both sites. Has pushed his point streak up to 14 games and leads the league with 30 points on the year. He has also added 10 powerplay points and is averaging 174 shot attempts per 60 min.
Kyle Palmieri - Winger, Devils (DraftKings - $4,000 FanDuel - $4,200)
Nice cheap option who has a nice floor as he is firing a ton of shots on goal and has picked up 14 points this season. He is ranked 52nd in the league with 16.6 shot attempts per 60 min. Should be a low owned option and is in a nice matchup on the road in Edmonton.
Kris Russell - Defense, Flames (DraftKings - $4,400 FanDuel - $5,100)
He makes a nice cash game play on DraftKings where blocks are counted. He leads the league with 71 blocks and will occasionally add a point. He isn't going to cost much and allows for room to roster some top forwards.
