Analysis: The profile on Justin Hunter remains unchanged--he's a great training camp and practice performer, but he doesn't put up when it counts. Hunter has the measurables, but the production just isn't there, despite opportunities with Kendall Wright and Harry Douglas banged up lately.
Hunter hauled in a late touchdown last week in Tennessee's dramatic rally over New Orleans. It was his first visit to the end zone this year. Unfortunately, he was consistently awful before that, averaging two catches for 25 yards and zero scores.
Douglas is now back, while Wright has a chance to play Sunday against the unbeaten Panthers. At full strength, Hunter becomes the fourth or fifth option in the Titans' passing game. Don't be fooled by Hunter's touchdown in Week 9. He still has a lot to prove, and there are better options out there.
