Jeremy Kerley (WR, NYJ) - Waiver Wire Analysis

Baller Move: In any league, skip over, and move on to the next receiver.

Owned In: 3% of Fleaflicker Leagues

Analysis: When you're playing alongside Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, it's very easy to go unnoticed. Jeremy Kerley is an important part of the New York Jets offense, providing speed and support in the slot, and has the ability to score on a kickoff or punt return. Kerley is the kid everyone likes, but is still unfortunately picked last at recess. Marshall and Decker will always be looked at first.

Kerley has missed four games already this season and proves to be too inconsistent for any fantasy league. In deeper, 14-team leagues, Kerley might provide some value, but will still struggle to get around ten points. He hasn't caught more than six passes all year and his score depends highly on touchdowns. Kerley has not been able to capitalize on the absence of third-receiver, Quincy Eunuwa. Against the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Sunday, he was out-targeted and out-produced by Kenbrell Thompkins, a receiver whose only blink of success came with the New England Patriots three seasons ago.

With quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick battling a left thumb injury, heading towards an eventual surgery, the Jets will look to do a better job establishing the run against their former coach, Rex Ryan, and the Buffalo Bills Thursday night. Kerley was relatively efficient when Decker didn't play Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but with Decker and Marshall healthy, Kerley won't have any impact on Thursday or on fantasy lineups.
