In every game he has played this year, Jordan Reed has been a focal point of the Redskins offense. Playing in just five games so far, Reed has 35 catches (on 47 targets) and 350 yards with three TDs. It looks like he could finish the year as a high-end TE, and given the lack of depth at the position, Reed should be owned in all leagues.
Reed has the second-most targets on the team, despite missing two games. Coming back from a concussion, Reed had one of the best games of his career in Washington's last game against the Bucs. He caught 11 catches for 72 yard and two TDs. Kirk Cousins will continue to go to Reed with production like that, even after Desean Jackson comes back.
After a bye, Reed's concussion issues should be behind him. This week the Redskins play the Patriots, so the good news is that Cousins will be throwing the ball a ton to try and keep up with Brady and company. The bad news is that Bill Belichick might single out Reed as the must-stop player on Washington. Though expectations for Reed shouldn't be too high this week, the rest of the season offers some softer matchups in which Reed should shine.
