BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues
OWNED IN: 42% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: A popular sleeper pick at TE each year of his career, Zach Ertz still hasn't materialized into the fantasy asset that many thought he could be. Fantasy players who thought that Ertz could improve upon last year's solid numbers have been let down, as Ertz only has 24 catches for 270 yards so far.
There is some room for growth for Ertz to help your team. Ertz has been targeted 42 times this year, cracking the top 10 for TEs, however his 62% completion percentage on those targets is the lowest of that bunch. Ertz has been targeted in the red zone four times but has yet to score. His red zone targets came in three games, and the Eagles' offense hasn't looked anything like the high-powered machine that it was touted to be.
Ertz is coming off his best game of the season. He caught five passes for 63 yards against a tough Carolina D. While the Eagles have been disappointing so far and are on bye this week, the offensive upside remains. Ertz is on track to surpass his target total from last season and if he can develop a better connection with Sam Bradford, patient fantasy owners could be rewarded.
His potential makes him worth owning in deeper leagues. Pick him up if you believe sunnier days are coming in Philadelphia.
