The status of New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was up in the air all week due to his hamstring injury. Beckham suited up and played in Monday night’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Fantasy owners who stuck with the stud receiver were rewarded early on as Beckham scored the first touchdown of the game.
Beckham finished with seven catches for 61 yards and the touchdown reception. The bad news is all those numbers came in the first half and Beckham was held without a catch in the second half. This was more of a problem with Eli Manning and the overall Giants offense rather than anything involving Beckham’s health. New York could not get it going after Beckham’s touchdown and had their worst offensive outing of the season.
Owners that played Beckham still have to be content with the results. Considering he missed practice all week and was questionable heading into the game, the numbers were impressive. The most important notes to take from the game are that Beckham performed well, was not limited and should be ready for next week’s showdown against the Dallas Cowboys. You're starting him without a second thought.
