ANALYSIS: Charles Sims was a much-hyped pre-draft sleeper in the Buccaneers backfield, even though he was always considered a backup to incumbent starter Doug Martin. There was always a sneaking suspicion that Sims, with his next-level talent, would overtake an inconsistent Martin in the depth chart and do big things in Tampa Bay. Well, parts of that came true. Unfortunately for Sims and Sims-owners, Doug Martin is the second-best active RB in terms of fantasy thus far in the 2015 season. With 499 yards from scrimmage and four total touchdowns, Martin likely isn't getting benched any time soon. Still, Sims has managed to shine even in the shadow of Martin. He's been a huge weapon for the Bucs in the passing game with 193 receiving yards and two scores, adding another 135 yards on the ground. Even in a change-of-pace role, Sims finds himself in the top-20 of active running backs in standard fantasy scoring, ahead of guys like T.J. Yeldon and DeMarco Murray. Keep in mind the Bucs have a bye week coming up, so you might have some time to mull this one over. However, if Sims continue to produce like he has the past few weeks, he will be a worthy asset in deeper leagues regardless of the production from Muscle Hamster.
