Daily Fantasy College Football: FanDuel Picks for 10/17
After just a 15-game slate last weekend for the noon contest, FanDuel has bumped it back up to 19 this Saturday afternoon.
A few of these games - ones with the highest over/under total set in Vegas, in particular - are especially appealing for GPP contests and could serve as good targets for stacking.
These four games feature over/under lines 71 points or above: Tulsa at East Carolina, Texas Tech at Kansas, West Virginia at Baylor, and Ole Miss at Memphis.

FanDuel CFB DFS Quarterback Picks
I don't want to mislead anyone here. The most expensive quarterbacks on the board - Seth Russell and Patrick Mahomes - are not only extremely talented guys, but they have better than average matchups this weekend. In other words, you should get what you're paying for if you roster them.
What I did want to do, though, was point out a few guys I haven't seen touted on other websites. Why? Well, their ownership percentages should be lower, and we all know what kind of value that brings if these guys produce well. Also, since their price tags are more favorable, they leave you with enough cash to load up studs at RB, WR and TE.
Chad Kelly (QB, Ole Miss) - $8,400
After an incredible start, Kelly has been just okay over the last two or three weeks. Still, even during his struggles, he's been an incredibly accurate deep ball guy, and he has the matchup and studs at WR to put it all together this weekend against Memphis.
Jake Coker (QB, Alabama) - $6,800
I like Coker as a buy-low sleeper this weekend. He's priced favorably, and after taking a look at the way they attacked the Texas A&M defense last season, it wouldn't surprise me if they try to get it done in similar fashion this weekend. Running back Derrick Henry is the stud on this offense, but I think Coker and tight end OJ Howard could make for a profitable stack.
Honorable Mention: Dane Evans (QB, Tulsa) - $8,400
FanDuel CFB DFS Running Back Picks
Zack Langer (RB, Tulsa) - $7,300
Langer is a guy who constantly has his name called by Tulsa's co-offensive coordinators Sterlin Gilbert and Matt Mattox, and he's consistently put up some pretty big numbers against solid defenses. This week he has a favorable matchup against East Carolina in what should be a high-scoring affair. I think he's good for 25+ carries, and I won't be surprised if he gets a few targets in the passing game.
Dare Ogunbowale (RB, Wisconsin) - $6,800
The Badgers should be pretty committed to the run game against a poor Purdue run defense, and Ogunbowale has been getting an increasing number of carries for Wisconsin. Taiwan Deal was injured last weekend, and even if he's able to play, Ogunbowale should be the biggest factor back in this game. Purdue really struggles against the run, ranking 113th in Rushing S&P+.
Honorable Mention: Kenneth Dixon (RB, Louisiana Tech) - $7,000
FanDuel CFB DFS Wide Receiver Picks
Leonte Carroo (WR, Rutgers) - $7,800
If anyone knows how bad the Hoosiers are at defending the pass, it's me. Last weekend a pretty "meh" receiving core from Penn State exposed their secondary more so than any other team has this season. That's a good sign for Carroo, who should have a field day in Bloomington.
Laquon Treadwell (WR, Ole Miss) - $7,100
Treadwell is not only one of the most talented receivers in the SEC, he's also the favorite target of Chad Kelly with a real favorable matchup this weekend. This season he's had 5+ catches in every game and was held under 50 yards receiving just once - against a stifling Florida defense in The Swamp.
I figured the WR section is an appropriate one to list two possibly overlooked stacks for this weekend.
Jakeem Grant (WR, Texas Tech) - $6,900 and Tony Brown (WR, Texas Tech) - $6,000
Two very favorably priced wide receivers that could pay dividends when paired with Patrick Mahomes.
Keyarris Garrett (WR, Tulsa) - $6,600 and Joshua Atkinson (WR, Tulsa) - $6,600
With Keevan Lucas out for the season, Garrett and Atkinson get big bumps in this pass-friendly offense. Pairing these two with Dane Evans is intriguing to say the least.
FanDuel CFB DFS Tight End Picks
Rodney Mills (TE, UMass) - $3,300
He's the most expensive but also one of the most consistent tight ends this season. He's a key piece of a high-flying offense that is constantly attacking through the air. He hauled in six catches for 100 yards last weekend, and there's a strong chance, based on matchup, that he can do that and then some on Saturday.
OJ Howard (TE, Alabama) - $3,000
Normally we think of Alabama as a run-first squad, but take a look at the box score from last year's contest with Texas A&M. I think we'll see something similar on Saturday with Lane Kiffin calling the shots on offense. Howard is an extremely talented tight end - one of the top on NFL draft boards - and I expect him to be involved in the Alabama attack.
