The Dallas Cowboys are a complete mess right now. In addition to switching quarterbacks from Brandon Weeden to Matt Cassel, the team seems to be attempting to switch running backs too. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Christine Michael will get as many snaps as Joseph Randle when the team returns to action in Week 7 against the New York Giants.
A few years back when Michael was Marshawn Lynch's backup with the Seattle Seahawks many believed he was a future star. But he was never given an opportunity to prove himself.
Michael is definitely worth picking up in all fantasy football leagues. Do not start him immediately after the Cowboys' bye week, but hold onto him and see if the team actually put hiim in a timeshare with Randle. If Michael does steal the job from Randle, he would be an every week RB2.
The Cowboys also have Darren McFadden, but he doesn't seem to be in contention for the team's starting job. He has taken over Lance Dunbar's role as the team's running back in passing situations, which puts him in consideration as a flex play in PPR leagues.
