Nope, Robert Griffin III hasn't been able to overtake Kirk Cousins as the Washington Redskins starting quarterback just yet, but he has surpassed Colt McCoy as the teams No. 2 quarterback ...at least temporarily. According to the Washington Post, McCoy has suffered a cut on his foot which will keep him out of practice for a little while.
Still, RG3 has close to no chance at seeing the field on Sunday when the Redskins host the Philadelphia Eagles. The only chance he has at playing time is if the Redskins are blowing out the Eagles (not happening), or if Cousins goes down with an injury. And even if Cousins did suffer an injury which forced him out of the game, would anyone be surprised if coach Jay Gruden decided to run a no-quarterback offense? After all, he's made his hate for RG3 pretty clear, especially when he refuses to give him playing time even though Cousins is struggling just as much as RG3 ever did.
Keep Griffin on the waiver wire in redraft leagues. He's still worth holding onto in dynasty leagues though; eventually he'll get a chance to play somewhere else.
