Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking
Colorado Rockies Middle of the Lineup vs Mike Bolsinger
The power bats in the Colorado Rockies lineup should be targeted on Friday against opposing pitcher Mike Bolsinger at home. As a team, the Rockies hold the second best home offense in the league, with a wOBA of .332. Corey Dickerson and Nolan Arenado both look to be quality value picks, as Bolsinger has really struggled with his control as of late.
Houston Astros Middle Infield vs Yovani Gallardo
As a team, the Houston Astros hold a top ten offense against right-handed pitching, with a wOBA of .318. Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve continue to be extremely safe picks for your infield. You should be sure to target them if you’re entering a smaller competition pool. Both studs are hitting well as of late, while Gallardo has failed to convert a quality start in five straight outings.
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings
Jon Lester (SP, CHC) - $10200
Jon Lester looks to hold the most value of all the aces heading to the mound on Friday. Lester has really put together a solid September with a 2.67 ERA over four starts. Just ten days ago, Lester dominated the same Pittsburgh lineup that he will face once again. Pittsburgh holds an average offense against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 97.
Rich Hill (SP, BOS) - $4300
Are you entering a bigger competition pool? Go for it, and go for it with Rich Hill as your secondary pitcher. Hill has shined in his two starts this season, dominating both the Rays and the Blue Jays with seven innings and 10 strikeouts in each outing. He is a true lottery ticket, and he will cost you relatively nothing from the pitching slot. Hill will face the Baltimore Orioles, who hold a bottom ten offense against left-handed pitching with a wOBA of .295.
DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings
Salvador Perez (C, KC) - $3300
Salvador Perez looks to be a nice bargain pick against opposing pitcher Carlos Carrasco at home. Perez has performed well as of late, as he is 15 for his last 40 with a home run. Perez also holds a wOBA of .328 against right-handed pitching on the season. Be sure to look for Perez if you’re unable to roster one of Posey, Schwarber or d’Arnaud.
Paul Goldschmidt (1B, ARI) - $5200
Paul Goldschmidt should be worth the price tag on Friday against opposing pitcher Shawn Kelley at home. Goldschmidt has been on a really nice hot streak as of late. In his last four games, he has gone 7 for 16 with three home runs. Goldschmidt holds a great wRC+ of 153 against right-handed pitching this season. Note that it is unlikely the relief pitcher Kelley could last very long into the game.
Robinson Cano (2B, SEA) - $4000
Robinson Cano looks to be a terrific value pick against opposing pitcher Garrett Richards on the road. Cano has hit three home runs over the past week, and holds a wRC+ of 128 against right-handed pitching on the year. Cano also has some very nice lifetime numbers against Richards, as he is a career 7 for 22 against the young ace.
Adrian Beltre (3B, TEX) - $4200
Adrian Beltre looks to be another solid value pick against opposing pitcher Scott Kazmir on the road. Adrian Beltre holds a .321 average with three home runs in the month of September, and has hit left-handed pitching extremely well this year with a wRC+ of 133. Also note that Kazmir has been very prone to the long ball recently, having given up five home runs in his last three starts.
Alexei Ramirez (SS, CWS) - $3300
Alexei Ramirez makes for a dirt cheap option at shortstop on Friday. With limited upside but consistent production and BvP stats, Ramirez makes for a great pick in smaller competition pools to round out your lineup. He will face opposing pitcher CC Sabathia on the road. Ramirez only holds a wRC+ of 88 against left-handed pitching on the year but is a career 11 for 30 with one home run against the big southpaw.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings
Bryce Harper (OF, WAS) - $6100
Bryce Harper has truly earned his price tag this season. Harper will face opposing pitcher Jerad Eickhoff at home. Harper holds a wOBA of .496 against right-handed pitching this season. Expect more of the same from Harper on Friday, who now holds a .415 average with 10 home runs in the month of September.
JD Martinez (OF, DET) - $5000
JD Martinez makes for a great value pick as your secondary outfielder on Friday against opposing pitcher Mike Pelfrey at home. Martinez holds a wOBA of .372 against right-handed pitching on the season. He has provided steady, albeit unflashy production. Martinez definitely deserves a hard look if you’ve got some extra salary to invest in a smaller competition pool.
Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $4400
Mike Trout at this price tag is a ridiculous bargain. He is a must start in any DraftKings format based on this value. Trout will face opposing pitcher Vidal Nuno at home. He has dominated left-handed pitching this season, holding a wOBA of .419. Trout has been hitting extremely well recently with plenty of power scattered throughout his game logs.
