Shane Vereen (RB, NYG) - Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team STD / All PPR Leagues

OWNED IN: 59% of Fleaflicker Leagues

ANALYSIS: If anyone has been watching the Giants games, the only competent player other than Odell Beckham Jr. is Shane Vereen. That is why I'm shocked to see that he is only 59% owned in fantasy leagues. Vereen should be owned in at least 70 percent of standard leagues, and 100 percent of PPR leagues.

In Week 2, Vereen was trying to will his team to beat the Falcons. Eli Manning kept checking the ball down to Vereen, only for him to dance his way around defenders and accumulate 95 yards of total offense. Through two games, he has nine carries for 33 yards and 12 receptions for 122 yards.

Let's cut to the chase - Vereen looks like the only good Giants running back this season. Rashad Jennings seems lost with the ball, carrying 22 times for measly 64 yards through two games. Andre Williams hasn't fared too well either, 57 rushing yards on 12 attempts. The Giants O-line isn't getting any push - and to further salt the wounds, offensive linemen Ereck Flowers, their ninth overall selection, injured his ankle Sunday. But when the O-line is having a difficult time pass-protecting, Manning dumps it off to Vereen for PPR gold.

No matter how the offensive line performs, Vereen will always be performing. He has already proven that he is the best running back in the Giants - now the coaches have to realize how talented he is, and get him more rushing carries. Vereen is a PPR machine who should cruise past his career high 52 receptions last season - if he's still available on your league's waiver wire, be sure to grab him before it's too late.
