What's up RotoBallers. Welcome to another edition of my FanDuel analysis for DFS contests. There is a full slate of games with only one early game (Cubs at Cardinals), so there's a healthy group of options. The plan today is to save some coin at pitcher and stock up on some quality bats, as you'll see below.
My goal as always is to help you find matchups for your DFS lineups to help you win on FanDuel. The lineup picks I recommend below are based on individual player stats, trends and their DFS pricing on FanDuel. Good luck tonight RotoBallers!

Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking
Red Sox against Drew Hutchison (R)
As good as Hutchison has been at home, he's been atrocious on the road. In 11 starts on the road he owns a 9.00 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP with a .372 BAA. To make matters worse he has a 7.16 ERA versus Boston in his career, and multiple Red Sox have strong numbers versus Hutchison, including Mookie Betts ($4,100), Xander Bogaerts ($3,400), Dustin Pedroia ($3,200).
Royals against Mike Pelfrey (R)
Mike Pelfrey would really appreciate if the season ended today. After a solid stretch to begin August he has faltered down the stretch, unable to reach the fifth inning in his past three starts. While he managed a respectable 0.55 HR/9 for most of 2015, his 1.46 HR/9 in his past three outings would be 11th worst in all of baseball if scaled out. Multiple Royals have had success versus Pelfrey, including Mike Moustakas ($2,900), Salvador Perez ($2,400), and Alex Gordon ($2,700).
DFS Starting Pitcher to Consider for FanDuel
James Shields (SP, SD) - $8,500
I can't blame you for dabbling in the DeGrom/Strasburg game, but I'd rather increase my chances for a win while saving money. Shields is a much better pitcher at PETCO Park, posting a 2.93 ERA and a 10.36 K/9 rate over 86.0 innings.
J.A. Happ (SP, PIT) - $7,300
Slip Happ some butter 'cause he's on a roll. Since joining the Pirates he owns a 1.57 ERA over 34.1 innings, including four straight victories. He'll look to make it five versus a Reds team that's had success against Happ, but it's hard to pass on a hot pitcher at a $7.3K pricetag.
DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel
Jonathan Lucroy (C, MIL) - $3,500
Lucroy doesn't come cheap, but he does come with a groove. He's batting .360 with five R and five RBI in his past seven games and is worth the funds. Opponent Tom Koehler is 1-8 with a 5.26 ERA since the All-Star break.
Gregory Bird (1B, NYY) - $3,000
Get ready for a barn burner in the Bronx. Ubaldo Jimenez has a career 6.60 ERA versus the Yankees including an absolute train wreck in July (2.1 IP, 7 ER). Bird makes for a cheap entry into this game.
Jedd Gyorko (2B, SD) - $2,700
It's hard to ignore Gyorko's recent run of success, including five HR in his past 54 AB. While he has had trouble with Chris Rusin in the past, he owns a .788 OPS versus LHP in 2015.
Manny Machado (3B, BAL) - $3,600
Don't blame Machado for the Orioles' woes in the standings. He continues to be one of the best 3B in baseball after a strong start to September, and he owns C.C. Sabathia (9-for-27, HR).
Didi Gregorius (SS, NYY) - $3,300
Back to the Bronx well. After Gregorius' ridiculous Atlanta series he's followed it up by hitting .318 this week. He's also 2-for-3 lifetime versus Ubaldo Jimenez if small sample sizes are your thing.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel
Ryan Braun (OF, MIL) - $4,800
Paying for some Braunie bites tonight. He's been the #3 OF in baseball in the past week behind only Yoenis Cespedes and Carlos Gonzalez. I expect the hot hitting to continue versus the struggling Tom Koehler.
Lorenzo Cain (OF, KC) - $4,100
This is why I prefer going to cheap at SP, to stack your OF. Cain has been on fire himself, batting .348 in his past seven games. He's also hitting .500 (6-for-12) versus Mike Pelfrey in his career.
Alex Gordon (OF, KC) - $2,700
I try to avoid mentioning the players involved in my stacks but I don't see a better play at this price range. Gordon is batting .500 since returning to the lineup and is 4-for-11 lifetime versus Mike Pelfrey. Grab him before the price jumps next week.
