Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me a crap load of times, shame- wait… what the absolute f***?
San Francisco linebacker and acting treasurer of DumbassVille Aldon Smith was arrested Thursday night for a hit-and-run accident and for driving under the influence. Oh, and let’s not forget vandalism. VANDALISM. Sources say that the police were brought in after a neighbor reported that Smith hit the their car after an argument.
Smith served a nine-game suspension last season for violating the league’s personal conduct and substance abuse policies.
Looks like the 49ers organization has a limit – apparently being arrested a ballszillon amount of times, three DUIs, and a weapon’s charge is what it takes for the 49ers to take a step back. It was recently announced that San Francisco has cut Smith.
“This is a sad day,” San Francisco coach Jim Tomsula stated in the press conference announcing Smith’s release late Thursday morning. He also said that Smith will be supported and helped.
Here is an updated list on San Francisco’s losses this offseason: Michael Crabtree, Anthony Davis, Frank Gore, Justin Smith, Patrick Willis, Chris Borland, Aldon Smith, the turf, their will to live, and the ghost of Jim Harbaugh’s dignity.
