BALLER MOVE: Target in Late Rounds as TE2
CURRENT ADP: 219 STD, 149 PPR
ANALYSIS: Austin Seferian-Jenkins didn’t do a whole lot as a rookie, but tight ends often take two to three years to produce relevant fantasy numbers. In the last five years, only five rookie tight ends have surpassed the 500-yard mark. Similarly, only three rookie tight ends in the past five years have exceeded five touchdowns.
Seferian-Jenkins might be the most athletic young tight end in football, especially give his size of 6'5", 260 lbs. As a rookie, he managed 221 yards and two touchdowns on 21 receptions in just nine games.
In the seven games between his two injuries, Seferian-Jenkins was on the field for 93.6% of snaps. The Bucs did claim Tim Wright off waivers, but his inability to block defenders will be a major issue, so Seferian-Jenkins should continue to see a lot of snaps.
ASJ's 37 targets in nine games translate to roughly 66 in a full year. With an increased role, added experience and the addition of Jameis Winston, he could see at least 75 targets in 2015.
Given those targets and his upside, ASJ is a very good value at his current FantasyPros ADP of TE26.
