West Bromwich Albion moved quickly last season and the arrival of Tony Pulis secured their future in the EPL, but also started a complete overhaul of the club both on the pitch and behind the scenes. Pulis, who has never been relegated in his managerial career, has cemented his position at the club with the removal of much of the old backroom staff.
He has instilled a discipline at the club and demanded a work ethic that those familiar with his work both at Stoke City & Crystal Palace will recognize. It is not pretty, but it can be sufficiently effective to safeguard the club's position in the Barclays Premier League.

Pulis has found recruitment this summer to be very difficult. He has completed deals for James McLean who adds to the Northern Irish contingent at The Hawthorns and has splashed out around $12 million on James Chester from relegated Hull to bolster the defensive options at the club.
Despite this there have been no attacking reinforcements and the situation with Saido Berahino remains uncertain with Tottenham Hotspur in particular showing interest. Callum McManaman can be explosive and a fine season is anticipated, but it remains to be seen who will be the beneficiary of his ammunition.
Craig Dawson has developed into a first class defender, who may well be pushing for full international recognition this season with England. Claudio Yacob is a Tony Pulis favourite. A very combative player in the central midfield areas, expect him to be a fixture in the side, disciplinary issues allowing, but goals as ever will be at a premium and any defection from Berahino could be at a very high cost for the club's future.
Prediction: A tough season for players and supporters alike; but the pragmatic approach of the Manager will be enough to ensure survival (13th).
Players to watch: Craig Dawson (Defender), James McLean (Midfield), Callum McManaman (Midfield).
