West Ham are facing the most important season of the clubs history. They are one season away from the move to the Olympic Stadium and the chance to become a European powerhouse. The obvious step then is to remove a manager who has a fantastic track record of success in the Premier League and bring in a former player with no Premier League managerial experience.
To suggest that appointing Slaven Bilic is a risk is under stating the situation. A penalty shoot out win in the Europa league over the 4th best team in Malta later and that decision is even more open to question. On a positive note Carl Jenkinson has returned on loan and new signings include Manuel Lanzini an attacking midfielder from Argentina, Angelo Ogbonna a defender from Juventus and Pedro Obiang a Spanish U21 International midfielder. He will potentially represent great Fantasy Soccer value, whilst Mark Noble will continue his consistency in midfield and also from the penalty spot.
Prediction: Will start strongly on the back of Europa League fitness fall away; but will maintain their status and head to the Olympic Stadium in the EPL
Players to watch: Carl Jenkinson (Defender), Mark Noble (Midfielder), Andy Carroll (Attacker)
