NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – DraftKings Advice for 3/1/15

Brad Baird highlights the top NBA DFS lineup picks for 3/1/15 as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your fantasy on DraftKings.

All throughout the 2014-15 NBA campaign, RotoBaller will be analyzing the top NBA DFS lineup picks and providing our expert advice for the best sleepers at the guard, forward and center positions. Below are some DraftKings DFS picks for March 1st, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the NBA Chat Room at the bottom of this post.

Worth the Investment

George Hill (IND, PG) - $5,800

Hill was in a bit of a slump, but has really busted out of it in his last two games. In his last game against the Cavaliers, he poured in 15 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, and one block. It was the first triple-double of his career.

The Indiana Pacers have crept into the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, so they should be motivated to play well and hold on to it. Hill is the focal point of the offense, and today he draws a juicy matchup against the Philadelphia Tankers. If he can stay healthy, Hill is in position to finish the season strong, and he is a much better player than his current price would indicate. Get him on the cheap while you still can.

Serge Ibaka (OKC, PF) - $7,600

Any time you get a chance to pick on the Lakers, take advantage. They do not participate on defense, and are particularly inept at stopping opposing bigs. Ibaka should have his way with whoever the Lakers throw at him.

Ibaka has played at least 40 minutes in his last two games. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are both injured. That leaves Ibaka as the number one option on offense for the Thunder. There is a ton of slack to be picked up in the absence of both Durant and Westbrook, so Ibaka should see a rather large spike in his usage rate. All things considered, he has an excellent opportunity for a massive game with an outstanding matchup at a reasonable price.

Nikola Vucevic (ORL, C) - $8,600

The center position is an absolute wasteland today. As if it were not bad enough, it got even worse with the news that DeMarcus Cousins will not play. This is the spot to spend up, and I will be rolling with Vucevic.

Vucevic has played at least 37 minutes in five straight games. Four of those five were double-doubles, and he attempted 16 or more shots in all of them. The man is a machine, and the offense appears to be running through him since Orlando made the coaching change. He has a high floor with upside against a bad Charlotte team. On a day with so many risky options, I will take the safe bet.

Top Sleeper

D.J. Augustin (OKC, PG) - $4,100

It is really not fair to list Augustin as a sleeper, but his price is low enough to qualify. He is a must start player today. Westbrook has already been ruled out after undergoing facial surgery. Durant is still on the mend with a foot injury. Augustin is going to be a very busy man, and should get all the minutes he can handle.

He put up some huge numbers as the starter for the Detroit Pistons earlier this season. Today, he also gets a dream matchup against the Lakers, who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. On top of all that, his price tag is unbelievably cheap. All the stars have aligned for Augustin to have a monster game and crush value. Fade at your own risk.
