NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FanDuel Advice for 1/19

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as top sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for January 19th, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth the Investment

John Wall (WAS, PG) - $8,700

Despite putting up over 30 fantasy points in nine of his last 10 games, Wall has still seen his price dip to the point where he is a near must play. Wall has a ton going for him tonight. He is playing at home and going up against one of the worst defensive teams in the league in Philadelphia. Some may fade him due to the blowout potential, but Wall has played 34+ minutes nine of the last 10 Washington games and even in a blowout should have enough time to put up 40 fantasy points tonight.

Zach Randolph (MEM, PF) - $8,500

After a long spell on the injured list, Randolph has returned for five games and barely missed a beat. He has a double-double in each of those five games while averaging 19.2 points and 13.8 rebounds while also tossing in at least two assists in each game. Today he faces off against Dirk Nowitzki who is not known as a strong defender and a minus rebounder which means Z-Bo should be in line for another double-double. He does not have the upside of an Anthony Davis or Blake Griffin but for a significantly lower price he is a near lock for 30 fantasy points.

Dwight Howard (HOU, C) - $8,200

Generally, I do not like picking Howard. He is simply no longer the type of dominant defensive player that brings the upside of blocking five shots a night. With that said, the Rockets big man has played well over the last three games with at least 31 fantasy points in each. Howard has only averaged 19.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in those games, but he has chipped in seven assists, three steals and two blocks to help boost his fantasy value. As always, the duo of David West and Roy Hibbert is good defensively, but neither has the athleticism or speed to keep up with Howard.

Top Sleepers

Bismack Biyombo (CHA, C) - $5,100

If you do not want to pay at center tonight, Biyombo makes for a great value option. With no Al Jefferson in the lineup, Biyombo has responded big time 34 points, 41 rebounds and eight blocks over his last three games combined. In that time he has seen his minutes rise from 21 to 29 and all the way up to 36 in the last game. Along with a boosted role, Biyombo gets to face a Timberwolves team that is the second in the league in fantasy points allowed to centers per game. He should be in line for a solid game with the upside to his 40 fantasy points as he did two games ago.

Alexis Ajinca (NOP, C) - $3,800

Like Biyombo, Ajinca is taking advantage of an injury to a big man on his team filling the role of Anthony Davis. Playing nearly 30 minutes per game the last two nights has allowed the French big man to post 38 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal over the past two games which was good for 69.5 fantasy points. Assuming Davis is once again out it will be a tough decision on who to take at center tonight with so many valuable options.
