NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FanDuel Advice for 1/7

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as top sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for January 7th, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Editors Note: If you have not tried out FanDuel 1-day fantasy basketball leagues, RotoBaller offers the best bonuses around. Signup and make a deposit for a new FanDuel account, and receive a 100% bonus on your deposit up to $200.

Worth the Investment

Kemba Walker (CHA, PG) - $9,000

Rotoballer-NBA-News-Fantasy-Basketball-Advice-Analysis-Kemba-WalkerWith no Al Jefferson on the court, Walker has been on an absolute roll. In his last two games alone he has 97.9 fantasy points and scored over 63 points total. He has continued to log huge minutes with over 39 minutes in six straight games which is huge for daily fantasy players. His match-up with Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis is not a great one but Walker plays well at home and as the only scoring option he should have a big game. Assuming the Hornets keep it close expect Walker to go over 40 fantasy points again.

Pau Gasol (CHI, PF) - $9,200

This Gasol looks like the fantasy stud he was in his prime with the Lakers, as he is averaging 18.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 blocks per game. If those numbers do not scream daily fantasy stud, than nothing does. He has been the rock on the Bulls all season and should continue that way tomorrow with injuries to Mike Dunleavy and possibly Joakim Noah. Gasol has been on fire lately with 50.8, 58.2 and 50.3 fantasy points in his last three outings. It would be smart to put Gasol in your lineup tonight and figure everything out from there.

DeAndre Jordan (LAC, C) - $8,100

Jordan gets the pleasure of playing of his crosstown rival Lakers tonight. Despite not being a huge scorer, he is an ultra-consistent daily option going under 30 fantasy points in two of the last 10 games. In those 10 games he has posted five double-doubles and blocked at least one shot in each of them. Tonight, the Clippers get to play the defensively inept Lakers, who have next to nothing down low to stop Blake Griffin and Jordan. Look for another 40+ fantasy point game in this one.

Top Sleepers

Rudy Gobert (UTA, C) - $5,200

With Enes Kanter out yet again tonight, Gobert becomes a great plug and play if you want to pivot to a cheaper center. After one half last time out, he looked like he was going to be the bust of the night, however Gobert recovered to post a respectable 18.8 fantasy points which was preceded by 40.7 points the night before. He makes his living blocking shots with a ridiculous 13 in the last three games which is huge for daily players. This game could be a tough one for Utah, but with almost no center depth Gobert should again see big minutes and put up a solid line around 5X value.

Quincy Acy (NYK, SF) - $4,300

Taking advantage of Carmelo Anthony’s injury and the trade of J.R. Smith, Act erupted last game for 19 points, 14 rebounds, and a steal which netted him 38.3 fantasy points. That is about the 100% max that you can expect from Acy, however he has had 25.3 and 24.4 fantasy points in his previous two games. The Knicks are extremely thin right now so Acy, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Cole Aldrich should all get a boost in minutes and production. For a near minimum salary Acy should be a player with a high floor tonight.
