DFS Lineup Picks: Fantasy Football Sleepers & Advice for Week 6

Week 6 Special: Beat the Experts FanDuel Challenge

This week, RotoBaller is bringing you a special offer. I'll be hosting a 10-team free "Beat the Experts" challenge on FanDuel, and if you beat me, you'll earn a free Week 7 subscription to RotoBaller's expert lineup picks.  That means up to nine of you could win, though that would be terribly embarrassing and might lead to my early DFS retirement. Give it your best shot, and let's see if you can Beat the Expert!

How to Join? First things first, if you don't have a FanDuel account, sign up and make a small deposit for the future. Then, after you've signed up, join RotoBaller's Beat the Experts challenge here, set your lineup, and that's it! The contest is free, but I'll still be taking it seriously, so bring your best!

If you sign up to test your hand and try and beat me, tweet me your FanDuel name @Leibfried6 so we can reach out to you for your prize, in case you Beat the Expert.

FanDuel Fantasy Football Advice for Week 6

Fellow RotoBallers and weekly league fantasy football fans, I am here every week to help you identify some players to consider inserting into your FanDuel lineups. By identifying which players have good Week 6 matchups in relation to their prices on FanDuel this week, we can hopefully find some DFS sleepers who can help you win.

And for even more in-depth weekly FanDuel analysis and advice, you should check out our weekly DFS newsletter, which has been sizzling hot recently in picking weekly studs. You can see how some of those exclusive DFS picks performed last week, and get involved at any time. You can also check out our live DFS chat room for real-time advice and FanDuel banter. Good luck in Week 6, RotoBallers!

Quarterback Value Picks for Week 6

QB: Eli Manning ($7,200)

The younger Manning has looked more like his brother over the last few weeks, with an impressive 10 passing touchdowns over the last four weeks. In all four of those games, he has thrown for over 200 yards while attempting at least 28 passes. Those numbers figure to go up this week, as the Giants top running back, Rashad Jennings has been ruled out of action. Manning is also helped by his sudden embarrassment of riches, now that Larry Donnell, Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle are all healthy to support Victor Cruz. Expect big things against a less-than-stellar Eagles defense.

QB: Blake Bortles ($6,400)

After two career starts, this game feels like it could really be Bortles coming-out party. Through two games, he has a solid completion percentage, despite just one touchdown pass. He also has a matchup against a Tennessee team that allowed 291 yards and three touchdowns to Brian Hoyer and the Browns. Despite missing two of his top targets in Marqise Lee and Cecil Shorts, Bortles seems to have a good connection with rookies Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson. If you take Bortles, you should have plenty of room to put a lot of studs into your lineup.

Running Back Value Picks for Week 6

RB: Branden Oliver ($6,200)

Everyone’s minimum salary play of the week has seen a bump in price, but he has a spectacular opportunity this weekend. The Chargers are likely to be without their top three running backs, which means Oliver bumps to the top of the charts. He not only put up 114 rushing yards and a score, but added an impressive four receptions for 68 yards and a receiving score against a Jets defense that is significantly better than the Raiders defense he faces this weekend. With his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, he should be a near-lock for 100 total yards and at least one touchdown.

RB: Ronnie Hillman ($5,900)

The second running back on the list also is benefiting from injury, as Hillman has taken over the Broncos backfield with Montee Ball’s injury. The bad news is that Ball has struggled mightily this year with just 172 yards in four games this year. The Broncos offense has been rolling but much of that has had to do with Manning and company through the air. The good news is that they are certain to score over 30 points which means it could only take 10 carries and a few goal line touches for Hillman to meet his value. Ball had been getting about 18 carries a game so assuming Hillman gets those touches he should be able to meet value against a Jets defense that just gave up a huge game to Brandon Oliver.

Wide Receiver Value Picks for Week 6

WR: Mohamed Sanu ($6,000)

Sanu could be in for a big week, if the oft-injured A.J. Green can’t go this weekend. Sanu has slid in nicely to the WR2 role in Cincinnati, with at least three receptions and 36 yards in all four games, as well as two receiving touchdowns. The Bengals also like to use him in gadget plays, which has already netted him one touchdown pass this year, and although you can't rely on that, it speaks to his immense playmaking ability. The Panthers defense has been allowing far more points than was expected this year, especially on the back end, so Sanu should be able to get deep for a few big plays on Sunday.

WR: Markus Wheaton ($5,100)

First and foremost, make sure Wheaton is a go this week, as he looked less-than-stellar last weekend against Jacksonville. If he is good to go, feel free to roll out the Steelers deep threat, who owns a solid 20 receptions on the year and has averaged over 12 yards per reception. Cleveland has one of the top corners in the league in Joe Haden, but a lot of #2 receivers have had big days lining up opposite Haden. With Antonio Brown rolling right now, look for Haden to lock him down, which means Big Ben will be looking at his young receiver to make plays.

WR: Ricardo Lockette ($4,900)

Lockette is my Hail Mary play of the day. He is near-minimum salary, and though it is possible that he puts up another donut, the former track star has two long touchdowns already this season. He will certainly not be a PPR play, with just three receptions on the year, but at home, the Seahawks could be in line for 40+ points and Lockett would only need one deep bomb to exceed value. If you gamble on him in a GPP, he could pay big dividends.

Tight End Value Picks for Week 6

TE: Eric Ebron ($5,000)

It looks like Calvin Johnson will sit out this week, as it's come out that he's dealing with a high ankle sprain. The Lions will still continue to throw the ball, which means someone will need to get the bulk of the work. Expect Ebron to be the beneficiary; he has eight receptions and a touchdown on the year, and now faces a Vikings defense that is likely without top linebacker Chad Greenway. If the Lions get near the goal line, they are likely to look for the big rookie from North Carolina to finish off their drives.

Defense Value Picks for Week 6

DEF: New York Giants ($4,800)

It may surprise people, but Eagles opponents are number one in the NFL in fantasy points scored this season. They are an explosive offense, but they've let Nick Foles get knocked around, which has in turn forced him to throw interceptions. The Giants have also started to get after the quarterback this year, and have scored double-figure fantasy points in two of their last three outings. Defenses are usually a gamble, so picking a near-minimum-salary defense in a good matchup seems like a win-win scenario this week.
