ANALYSIS: Ladarius Green is a promising young tight end for the Chargers. Unfortunately for him, so far this year it seems like Antonio Gates isn't willing to admit that he's not an elite TE anymore. Gates has 18 targets to Green's 8. However, I'd expect that to change over the course of the season as Green's talent becomes tougher to deny and Gate's age starts to show.
Green is averaging 14.7 yards per reception. That's not the sort of numbers that a team just decides to put on the back-burner, especially not a team that lost one of it's main offensive threats in Danny Woodhead. Green will most likely be a popular waiver wire target this week with big name tight ends like Dennis Pitta and Kyle Rudolph going down for a while. Don't overspend on him, but in deeper league he's definitely worth some of your green. Just be sure to continue monitor how Antonio Gates is doing if you do pick Green up.
