NBA Fantasy Basketball Sleepers & Lineup Picks for 02/10 (Fanduel)

I hold many unpopular opinions to accompany the mild ones, so I may, at times, make predictions or claims that seem far-fetched. Fantasy basketball is much more fun when you’re taking risks, right? Reading about it is only fun when you see something new or extreme.  The game of basketball is about the blood, sweat, anger, grit, will-power and athleticism these men pour out. Numbers are a small part of it, and they’ll only get you so far. Let’s go deeper than that.

Fanduel Basketball DFS Lineup Picks for 02/10

With only 6 games on the schedule for today, I'll be picking one player from each game that I believe holds a surprising amount of value.

Pacers vs. Nuggets - Randy Foye ($6,500)

If you read my last bit on maintaining a 6.5:1 point:salary ratio, then yes, Foye can definitely adhere to that measure at this price. Foye was already a valuable player before Lawson's injury, but with Ty doubtful for this contest Foye is an obvious choice. If he can withstand the pressure of supplying the offense from the backcourt, he's poised to post some serious numbers. The only worry I have here is that Indiana gets out in front and the Nuggets seek to save Foye, but I'm willing to take the chance.

Raptors vs. Pelicans - Eric Gordon ($5,800)

I'll admit it, this game is rough looking fantasy wise. Beyond Davis, DeRozan and Lowry it's hard to say who's going to put up a good performance. I finally settled on Gordon because of his recent success in shooting the ball. In addition to his solid FG and FT percentages, he's been rebounding, dishing out assists and netting a few steals. Toronto can struggle with turnovers and defense at times, so that goes to further benefit Gordon's cause. $5,800 isn't a price that's going to break the bank so go ahead and take him. As long as he doesn't miss 10 shots you should be glad you did.

Pistons vs. Spurs - Boris Diaw ($4,300) OR Rodney Stuckey ($4,700)

Okay so here's the deal; if Splitter is OUT for this game then I'll take Diaw. If he plays, then you'll probably want to take Stuckey. I like Diaw when he sees an adequate amount of playing time (30+ minutes). He's been getting that time lately because the Spurs are riddled with injuries and they're dropping like flies. Not to mention the guys that are healthy are older than dirt and can't hit the court like they used to. In his last content, seeing 33 minutes, he nabbed 13 pts, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Not too shabby considering he was posting up Big Al Jefferson part of the time. The Pistons frontcourt is pretty tough but he'll get the numbers, IF Splitter is unavailable.

Stuckey has hit a streak of success. He's taking more shots, good looking shots as well, he's holding on to the ball and he's making plays. With an average of 46 FG% over his last few contests he doesn't look to slow down anytime soon, especially not against the Spurs who have struggled to keep a healthy guard on the floor. His numbers, like Diaw's, won't be anything spectacular but you'll be satisfied at an under $5k price tag.

Bucks vs. Celtics - Jerryd Bayless ($4,300)

Maybe it's because I bleed green, but this is the best value pick you can ask for today. Rondo has already been declared OUT for this contest and that means a little more playing time for this guy. It also means that he'll have to shoulder some of the weight that comes with scoring. Sully and Green will probably take care of most of it, but for $4,300 against a terrible Bucks team.....wow! The only complaint with Bayless is his inability to rebound the ball, but he makes up for it with his 3 pt shots, assists and sticky fingers.

Timberwolves vs. Rockets - Corey Brewer ($4,900)

Brewer is the direct fantasy beneficiary of Kevin Martin's injury. He looked like a new man in his last game against Portland, scoring a staggering 26 pts on 11-23 shooting in addition to 7 boards. Brewer shot 51% from the field in the month of January and Feburary looks to be just as great! Kevin Love's return probably dampers Brewer's offensive value a little bit, but it won't make him disappear entirely. He still has the potential to be a very solid addition to your lineup.

Warriors vs. 76ers - Spencer Hawes ($6,800)

I'm hesitant to include him as one of my value picks again, but while he's playing like this and they keep him at such a small price...well, I have no choice! It looks as if the trade rumors have lit a fire under this guy because he's been a machine as of late. With 28 pts and 25 rebounds in his last to outings, he's a bit hard to ignore. David Lee and Andrew Bogut are both experiencing some shoulder problems and if they persist, Hawes' value will go up even further. It's hard to imagine him keeping this up for too long, but you might as well hop aboard the train while it's still chuggin' along.
