DraftStreet Sunday Selections - MLB Lineups Advice for Daily Fantasy Baseball - August 4, 2013

MLB daily lineups and expert picks for Fanduel, DraftStreet and daily fantasy baseball leagues. Read our daily analysis and win your Fanduel and DraftStreet daily leagues!

Guillermo Moscoso takes the mound for the Giants as they finish up a three-game set in Tampa Bay. The 29-year-old will be making his first start in the Majors since August 15, 2012. After a very solid campaign with Oakland in 2011, the right-handed native of Venezuela has struggled his way through just 52.2 innings at the big-league level, posting a 6.15 ERA and 1.70 WHIP. Feel free to take your pick of batters in Joe Maddon's starting lineup. I will start right here.

  • 001H0388 Ben ZobristBen Zobrist (2B, TB) - Although the Rays' jack of all trades is just 1-for-4 in his career versus Moscoso, he has scratched out two walks and a home run during those meetings.  Zobrist brings a combination of power and speed while batting in the middle of the eighth-highest-scoring offense in the entire league. The veteran switch-hitter will start the game in the left side of the batter's box where he has smashed all but one of his long balls this season.
  • Jayson Werth (OF, WAS) - After absolutely raking throughout all of July, Jayson Werth seems to have a great shot at being named NL player month. The Washington right fielder hammered his way to an impressive .367/.450/.622 line. While adding 7 HR and 22 RBI to his totals, he managed to carry a solid K-rate of just 12% compared to the almost 25% he put up in the season's first three months. Kyle Lohse will be the opposing pitcher today. In previous years, Werth has definitely won the battle with a .320 BA and three home runs.
  • Justin Upton (OF, ATL) - With six hits in 14 career at bats, the younger Upton brother is one of the few hitters that has shown the ability to handle former Cy Young winner Cliff Lee. Really heating up over the last week, the two-time All-Star is carrying an eight-game hitting streak. Factor into the equation that Justin Upton is carrying an OPS north of .900 against lefties, and this makes for an intriguing duel in the late game taking place at the veritable bandbox that is Citizens Bank Park.
  • Ervin Santana (SP, KC) - Santana will finish up the weekend for the Royals at Citi Field. Over his three starts since the break, the righty has been nothing short of outstanding, posting a 2-0 record with a 1.21 ERA and 0.76 WHIP. You need not look past the 22% K-rate or the pitiful .376 slugging percentage to discover the Mets' troubles against right-handed pitching. Making this match-up all the more inviting, David Wright is currently suffering from an injured hamstring that landed him on the DL as of yesterday, leaving the Mets without their best offensive player.
