BALLER MOVE: Add Immediately
ANALYSIS: Don't flinch-- we just told you to add Wily Peralta immediately if not sooner (in all leagues, while you are at it). He is finally starting to pitch like the dominant player that he was projected to be, but as with all young bucks, there is a steep learning curve for those not named Harvey or Strasburg. Over the past 30 days, Peralta is sporting a 3-0 record, and over 33.1 innings he has pitched to a 1.08 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP while striking out 25 batters. In July alone, his ERA is a stingy 0.42 with opponents only hitting .198 against him. These are unmistakable signs that he is turning things around. Get him on your roster, as he is only owned in a pathetic 5% of Yahoo leagues and should be readily available for the plucking.
UPDATE 7/21: Peralta threw yet another gem today, with 8 shutout IP, and gave up only 4 measly baserunners (2 hits, 2 walks). He also added 7 strikeouts. He's now given up a ridiculously low 1 ER over his last 29 1/3 IP (4 total starts), and hasn't given up more than 3 ER in any start since June 16th. He should be added in all leagues immediately.
