Before I start, a quick apology goes out to all the readers who started Hughes yesterday. I did not see that coming. I am spending a lot on pitching today to ensure it doesn't happen again.
Thursday's Play of the Day: 1B Lyle Overbay ($2,600) - At just 2.6 K, you have the privilege of starting an elite option at first tonight. Why is he elite tonight? Because he faces Aaron Harang, whom he is 11-24 against in his career with 5 doubles.
RotoCole's Fanduel Lineup:
P: Mat Latos ($8,200) - Latos got roughed up a bit last start but tonight he faces an awful Miami team. He's a top 5 option tonight.
C: Wilson Ramos ($2,600) - He's healthy, cheap and went 2-2 yesterday. I like him against Volquez today.
1B: Lyle Overbay ($2,600) - Play of the Day
2B: Robinson Cano ($4,300) - His price is down a bit at the perfect time on a day where he faces bad righty Aaron Harang.
3B: Pedro Alvarez ($2,800) - Homered last time he faced Burgos plus he's dirt cheap.
SS: Troy Tulowitzki ($4,400) - I have an awesome middle infield duo tonight as Tulo faces Matt Cain, a pitcher he has hit well in 53 career at bats (18 hits, 4 Hrs).
OF: Dayan Viciedo ($3,200) - I'm spending a small amount for a hitter who has homered in his last two games and is 5-5 in his career against Jerome Williams. He is close to being today's play of the day, but I don't want to publicize it too much.
OF: Brett Gardner ($3,100) - Gardner could give Harang fits both at the plate and on the bases.
OF: Curtis Granderson ($3,800) - A lot to spend for a dude who hasn't proved he is all the way back yet but Aaron Harang seems like the ideal candidate to kick his season off.
