Seahawks Plan To Develop Jalen Milroe As A QB
Jalen Milroe could be used in a Taysom Hill-type role, Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said that Milroe "is a quarterback through and through." Sam Darnold will play most of the snaps in 2025, but Milroe will have an opportunity to earn a unique role in certain situations. General manager John Schneider said that Seattle "added an explosive weapon while (Milroe) develops as a quarterback." "He's going to be trained to play quarterback for us. When he's in there, he's going to be playing quarterback. But the athleticism is going to come to life when he's on the field," Macdonald said. The 6-foot-1, 216-pounder has game-changing speed and a big arm, but he needs to develop as an accurate passer with anticipation at all three levels of the field. Milroe's dynamic athleticism will make him an intriguing dynasty/keeper pick, but he should be ignored in redraft leagues.

Seahawks Select Quarterback Jalen Milroe With The 92nd Pick Overall
Jalen Milroe with the 92nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He becomes the fourth quarterback selected in this draft. Milroe is the only FBS player with 30-plus passing touchdowns and 30-plus rushing touchdowns from 2023-2024. He threw for 5,678 yards, 39 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions while rushing for 1,257 yards and 32 touchdowns over the last two seasons. The 22-year-old has a cannon for an arm and is an exceptional athlete, but he needs to improve his accuracy as a passer. He will start off the 2025 season as the third-string quarterback behind Sam Darnold and Drew Lock. Milroe is ranked 38th overall as a rookie but is more of a dynasty stash for now as a backup for Seattle.

Jalen Milroe Not A Lock To Go In First Round
Jalen Milroe was invited to attend this weeks' NFL draft in Green Bay, but ESPN's Peter Schrager writes that it doesn't mean the NFL expects him to be picked in the first round on Thursday night. The league invited Milroe to the draft because he's one of the top QB prospect, and even if he's not selected in Round 1, he could be in attendance on Friday night. Even though the 22-year-old might end up being a Day 2 pick, plenty of NFL teams are intrigued by him. "Rare physical talent," Browns general manager Andrew Berry said of Milroe. "Maybe the only quarterback who's faster than Lamar Jackson." The 6-foot-2, 217-pounder has the best speed at the QB position in this year's class, but in order to take the next step at the NFL level, he is going to need to improve as a passer, which is why teams might be skeptical on using a first-round pick on him.

Browns GM Impressed With Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe. "Rare physical talent...maybe the only quarterback who's faster than Lamar," Berry said. The Browns were originally believed to be a lock to take a signal-caller with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, but that sentiment has now changed now that it's fully expected that the Tennessee Titans will take Miami QB Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick. Cleveland isn't sold on Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders and are now expected to take Colorado receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter with the second selection next Thursday night. Cleveland will certainly take a young QB in this year's draft, as veteran Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett are currently atop their depth chart. They have the No. 33 overall pick in the second round, but they could package that pick to move back into the first round to take Milroe.

Giants Holding Private Workouts For Jalen Milroe, Tyler Shough
Shedeur Sanders, but they are also doing the same with Alabama's Jalen Milroe and Louisville's Tyler Shough. While New York holds the No. 3 overall pick, they are reportedly unlikely to select a quarterback in that spot. Instead, the G-Men could be looking to trade back into the first round or pick a signal-caller with their second-round selection (No. 34 overall). The team signed veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason, but the late workouts with top quarterback prospects suggest they are interested in adding a rookie to the QB room earlier than on Day 3.
