Kris Bryant To Have "Follow-Up Scans"
Kris Bryant (back) will have "follow-up scans" on his back after visiting with Dr. Robert Watkins on Monday, according to general manager Bill Schmidt. The result of Bryant's follow-up scans will guide the team through the next steps of Bryant's hopeful return. Bryant made it only 11 games with the Rockies in 2025 before landing on the 10-day injured list earlier this month with lumbar degenerative disc disease. The 33-year-old has essentially been injured ever since he joined the Rockies for the 2022 season and hasn't played in more than 80 games in a single year since then. He started out this year going 6-for-39 (.154) with no homers, two doubles, an RBI, two walks and 13 strikeouts before getting hurt yet again. At this point, the four-time All-Star and former MVP could be looking at a career-ending injury if he cannot bounce back and return at some point this year.
