J.P. Crawford Launches Second Homer
J.P. Crawford went 2-for-3 with a home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Miami Marlins. He added two RBI, two runs scored, one walk, and one strikeout. The veteran connected on a two-run blast in the bottom of the fifth inning -- his second of the season -- off Miami reliever Ronny Henriquez that would put Seattle up 7-2 and prove the winning run as the Marlins mounted a late comeback. Crawford has been much better this season than he was in an abysmal 2024. He's not hitting for much power, and that includes extra-base hits (two doubles), but the average is there, and he's getting on base at a robust clip (.412 OBP). While his spot in the lineup is a detriment to his counting stats, he should still be a nice help, average-wise. Crawford is riding a seven-game hit streak with four multi-hit outings during the stretch.
