New York Mets right-handed pitching prospect Jonah Tong struck out a season-high 10 batters during his start on Sunday against Double-A New Hampshire. In this start, Tong tossed four shutout innings. He allowed just one hit and one walk. This was Tong's first start, not allowing a run this season. Through his first four starts of the campaign (17 1/3 innings), the right-hander has struck out 30 batters and held a 4.15 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression at Double-A, as he is flashing elite strikeout upside. Last season, the former seventh-round selection spent most of his time with High-A, where he held a 3.71 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP with 110 punchouts across 85 innings. If he continues to perform well with Double-A, he should be in the mix for a promotion to Triple-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
