Anthony has a career .285 average with 36 home runs, 154 RBI, and 40 stolen bases across 266 games in the minors. As a result, there's a good chance that the 20-year-old will get his opportunity to shine in the majors very soon.

Roman Anthony Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
Since being drafted in the 2022 MLB Draft, Anthony has shown his potential across all five minor league levels. However, he started to take off during the 2023 season when he hit a combined .272 with 14 home runs, 27 doubles, four triples, 64 RBI, and 16 stolen bases in 106 games at Single-A, High-A, and Double-A.
Anthony then followed up that campaign by putting up his best offensive numbers. He batted .291 with 18 home runs, 32 doubles, 65 RBI, and 21 stolen bases across 119 games at Double-A and Triple-A. The young outfielder tore it up in his first taste of Triple-A ball by slashing .344/.463/.519 in 35 contests to end the 2024 season.

There's no doubt that Anthony will be a great major league player one day, and it's only a matter of time until the Red Sox call him up. With the 20-year-old hitting .297 with four home runs and 13 RBI at Triple-A Worcester to begin the season, we shouldn't be surprised if the team decides to promote him sometime in May.
Roman Anthony Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Although we don't know when the Red Sox will call up their top prospect, he should be stashed in most fantasy leagues. He has the potential to be an above-average fantasy option in Year 1 and won't sit on the bench much when he does get called up. Anthony should be able to carry a high average batting while contributing solid home run and stolen base numbers.
As a result, fantasy managers should be stashing MLB Pipeline's No. 2 overall prospect. His promotion to the major league roster should come sometime before the summer months, and Anthony continues to hit the ball hard in the minors. He has a 31.9 percent barrel rate across 74 at-bats at Triple-A this season.

Given how much Ceddanne Rafaela has struggled to begin the year, Anthony should eventually take his spot in the outfield. So, fantasy managers should expect him to make his MLB debut by June at the latest.
