16 seconds agoThe Miami Marlins have promoted catching prospect Joe Mack to Triple-A Jacksonville. Mack is considered the No. 9-ranked prospect in the system on MLB.com. The 22-year-old spent most of the 2024 campaign at Double-A and needed just 13 games at that level this season to prove he was ready for the top level of the minor leagues. This promotion is coming just one day after the Marlins promoted fellow catching prospect Agustin Ramirez to the big leagues. Mack will likely take his spot as the top backstop in Jacksonville. Across 13 games with Double-A Pensacola this season, Mack posted a stellar .318/.464/.614 slash line with four doubles and three long balls. Last summer at Double-A, Mack held a .241/.322/.456 line with 22 home runs across 112 games. He is a name to keep a close eye on as he could push for a second-half MLB debut.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
