Jordan Lawlar Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
Lawlar quickly rose up the minor league ranks in his first two seasons in Arizona's farm system. He hit .303 with 16 home runs, 18 doubles, seven triples, 62 RBI, and 39 stolen bases across 100 combined games at rookie ball, Single-A, High-A, and Double-A in 2022 and then hit .278 with 20 home runs, 67 RBI, and 36 stolen bases in 105 games at Double-A and Triple-A the next season.

Those elite numbers in 2023 earned Lawlar a promotion to the major league roster in September. Although he went just 4-for-31 with 11 strikeouts in 14 regular-season games, getting that type of experience at 20 years old could really be beneficial for his development.
Lawlar, though, couldn't build off that campaign in 2024. He appeared in just 23 minor league games due to a thumb injury and a hamstring strain. With those injuries in the past, the 22-year-old could be called up by the team in the coming weeks. He is slashing .325/.423/.627 with five home runs, eight doubles, 20 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 21 games at Triple-A Reno this season.
Jordan Lawlar Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Given the way Lawlar has hit the ball to start the 2025 season, his promotion should be on the horizon. Ketel Marte (hamstring) is still on the injured list with his hamstring injury, and Arizona's top prospect could take his spot at second base until he returns. Therefore, we could see him called up very soon.
Jordan Lawlar is on fire in Triple-A right now.

However, it remains to be seen where Lawlar will fit once Marte does return. Eugenio Suarez (third base), Geraldo Perdomo (shortstop), and Marte (second base) are all locked into everyday roles in the infield. Still, the talented shortstop is worth grabbing in most 12-plus team leagues.
He could make an immediate impact once he is called up and has the potential to be a five-tool player in the majors. If the Diamondbacks do promote him to their active roster, there will be plenty of opportunities for him to shine. So, there's a strong possibility Lawlar will be called up sometime in May.
