Yanquiel Fernandez Goes Deep Twice On Sunday
3 mins agoColorado Rockies outfield prospect Yanquiel Fernandez went 2-for-3 with two long balls during their contest on Sunday against Triple-A El Paso. This was a much-needed breakout game for Fernandez, as he entered Sunday riding a .059/.150/.059 slash line with just one hit over his last five contests. However, before this slump, Fernandez posted a stellar .333/.375/.700 line with two doubles and three long balls over his previous seven games. Overall through 17 games at Triple-A Albuquerque, Fernandez has held a .213/.300/.492 line. Last summer, Fernandez received his first look at Triple-A and held a modest .211/.268/.313 line through his first 33 games at this level. Fantasy managers should monitor his progression at Triple-A, as he should be in the mix for an MLB debut later this season.
