Javier Sanoja Hits First MLB Homer
15 seconds agoMiami Marlins outfielder Javier Sanoja had a huge day at the dish on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with a go-ahead three-run homer in the eighth inning of a 7-5 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Sanoja added two runs and five RBI to the impressive line. The homer was the rookie's first big-league shot, and it was an important one. The 22-year-old was a top-20 prospect coming into the year for the Marlins, but hasn't been given a ton of playing time to work with so far. He's now hitting .350 with a .822 OPS, so maybe that will change. Still, for the time being he can be left on waivers in all but the deepest formats.
