Brayan Bello Expected To Return On Tuesday
21 seconds agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello (shoulder) is expected to make his season debut on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners. Bello has been sidelined through the early part of the campaign due to a strained shoulder. He was able to log 14 innings of work in his rehab assignment with Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester. Across this stint, the right-hander held a 7.07 ERA with a 1.57 WHIP. He showed strong command of his pitches as he allowed just four walks and struck out an impressive 21 batters. Last summer, Bello logged a career-high 162 1/3 innings of work and held a 4.49 ERA with a 1.36 WHIP. He struck out 133 batters and generated a modest 4.56 xERA. Fantasy managers in deeper formats should check their waiver wire and grab Bello ahead of his season debut.
