Matt Chapman Powers Giants To Saturday Night Success
27 seconds agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Matt Chapman went 2-for-3 with a home run and a stolen base to carry the Giants to a 3-2 victory over the Angels. Chapman's two-run blast off Kyle Hendricks in the first gave the team a lead it would hold the entire game, and he singled and stole second in the fourth inning, before being stranded. The 31-year-old veteran is finding some rhythm at the plate after a slow start and now has four home runs and three stolen bases to go with his .250 batting average and .386 wOBA on the year. He has four multi-hit games in his last five contests, going 8-for-16 (.500) with a double, two stolen bases, and two home runs in that span. He and the Giants will look to secure a series win on Sunday in Anaheim and then head home to face the Brewers and the Rangers this coming week.
