The Cincinnati Reds announced on Tuesday that they optioned infielder Noelvi Marte to Triple-A Louisville. Marte was one of the odd men out with infielder Matt McLain (hamstring) and outfielder Austin Hays (calf) both returning from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. Marte was brought up to Cincy as infield depth when McLain landed on the injured list, but the 23-year-old only appeared in three games and went 1-for-6 at the plate with a steal, two runs scored, and a walk in seven plate appearances. He'll now head back to the farm and bide his time there before eventually getting another shot in the big leagues with the Reds at some point this year. Marte was suspended 80 games last year, and when he returned, he really struggled at the plate. He has an intriguing power-speed combination, but he's facing an uphill battle for playing time in the majors.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Noelvi Marte (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals. Marte was on fire at the plate for about a week where he hit nearly .500 at the plate. Now, Marte is beginning to slow down with the bat and only has two hits over his last four games. That being said, Marte will get the night off on Saturday and will likely be back in the lineup on Sunday. As a result, Santiago Espinal will start at third base and bat eighth versus right-hander Trevor Williams on Saturday.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Cincinnati Reds third baseman Noelvi Marte continued his stellar offensive performance in Monday's 3-1 win over the Cardinals. The 23-year-old went 1-for-2 with an RBI triple and two walks. The former fantasy prospect got called up in the second week of April and has been on a tear, slashing .370/.431/.696 with three home runs, 16 RBI, and four stolen bases in 51 plate appearances. He is currently rostered in just 49 percent of leagues. While it is unrealistic to expect any hitter to maintain production at this level, there may not be much more opportunity for fantasy managers to add Marte if he keeps things up.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

Cincinnati Reds third baseman Noelvi Marte continued smashing the ball during Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The 23-year-old went 3-for-5 with a double, two steals, and three RBI in the win. Marte went 7-for-15 with seven RBI during this three-game series in Colorado. Overall, Marte is slashing .364/.404/659 with three homers, 15 RBI, and four steals this season. This hot stretch might not last forever, so fantasy managers should take advantage of it and roster Marte where available. He has been red-hot at the plate since being recalled.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Cincinnati Reds third baseman Noelvi Marte will get the starting nod again on Monday evening when they begin a series against the Miami Marlins. Marte enjoyed a career game on Sunday and is being rewarded with another start at the hot corner. He is slated to bat in the eight-hole. On Sunday, Marte went 5-for-7 with two doubles and a grand slam. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Marte's status as he could be earning the majority of starts at the hot corner over Jeimer Candelario. Last summer, Marte had a disappointing season as he held a .210/.248/.301 slash line with just four home runs and nine stolen bases. This was a sharp decline compared to the .316/.366/.456 line he held across his first 33-game taste of the majors in 2023. Marte is worth considering in DFS given his recent play facing Miami right-hander Max Meyer.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
