Trevor Megill Ready To Go
2 days agoMLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports that Milwaukee Brewers right-handed reliever Trevor Megill (knee) was available to pitch in Sunday's series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks and in Monday's series opener against the Detroit Tigers. Megill blew the save and took the loss against Arizona on Saturday by allowing three earned runs on two hits while walking three, and then he revealed that he recently underwent an MRI exam on his knee. After seeking a second opinion, the 31-year-old veteran is apparently alright to continue pitching, but he has not appeared since his blowup outings on Saturday. Megill's performance is worth keeping a close eye on after his knee injury, but as things stand now, he should still be considered the Brewers' favorite for save opportunities. However, he has only one save so far in 2025 to go with a bloated 5.79 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in 4 2/3 innings.
