6 days agoThe Milwaukee Brewers promoted pitching prospect Logan Henderson to the major league roster. In a corresponding move, the Brewers optioned right-handed pitcher Elvin Rodriguez to Triple-A Nashville. After allowing five runs in his season debut, Henderson has flipped the script at Triple-A and is being rewarded with a promotion. Over his last two outings, Henderson has tossed back-to-back five-inning shutouts. During this stretch, he has allowed just three hits and seven walks. He has struck out 16 batters. Due to the numerous injuries in the Milwaukee rotation, fantasy managers should expect the right-hander to see opportunities in the rotation. Currently, Quinn Priester and Jose Quintana are set to start the final two games of their series against the Tigers, which could set Henderson up for his big league debut over the weekend, against the Athletics.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

11 hours agoMilwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Logan Henderson tossed six innings of one-run ball in his MLB debut on Sunday afternoon. In this outing against the Athletics, Henderson allowed just three hits, one walk, and struck out nine batters, en route to picking up the victory. This was an impressive debut for the 23-year-old. His lone blemish came in the fifth inning when Seth Brown hit a solo blast. Henderson was given the call to the big leagues due to the numerous injuries in the Milwaukee rotation. Earlier in the season, he logged 14 innings at Triple-A to the tune of a 3.21 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. During this stint, he tallied 24 punchouts with just 10 walks. Given his impressive debut, fantasy managers should expect the former fourth-round pick to earn at least another turn in the rotation. He is worth adding in all 12-team formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 weeks agoMilwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Logan Henderson enjoyed another impressive outing on Wednesday evening. In this start, Henderson tossed five shutout innings and allowed just two walks with no hits. He struck out eight batters. This was his second-straight contest tossing five shutout frames and tallying eight punchouts. Henderson has begun to turn the corner following a rough season debut in which he allowed six hits and five earned runs across four innings of work. The 23-year-old is a name to monitor, given Milwaukee's numerous injuries to their starting rotation. If Henderson continues to perform well with Triple-A, he could get the call to the major leagues. The right-hander held a modest 4.56 ERA with Triple-A last season and appears to be taking a significant step forward in his development.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 weeks agoMilwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Logan Henderson enjoyed a strong bounce-back in his second start. On Thursday, he tossed five shutout frames against the Gwinnett Stripers. He allowed just three hits and five walks. He struck out eight. In his first outing of the campaign, Henderson stumbled against Jacksonville, allowing six hits and five earned runs across five innings of work. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on Henderson's progression as he could be in the mix to join Milwaukee given the extent of injuries in their starting rotation. Last season, Henderson spent most of his time at the Double-A level, where he logged 46 1/3 innings and held a 3.30 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and a stellar 7:58 BB:K. If the 23-year-old continues to produce well at Triple-A, he could enter stash territory.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
